Common White Girl Tag

Hello everyone! So I am currently on school holidays (finally!) which means there will deffo be more posts regularly... maybe.

I went to the One Direction Take Me Home concert last night and had so much fun! I had managed to make a fool of myself as predicted by screaming out OTP in a moment of impulse when Niall and Liam were being silly and everyone went quiet, the boys heard and just shook their heads.. awkward.  Poor Louis lost his voice but the overall concert was fantastic and we also got to see 5SOS, which was awesome. They played all our fave songs and they're doing Australia proud <3

Right, now that was said, let's get in with the tag! This tag has been circulating the interwebs and sounds pretty fun.. This tag is not meant to offend anyone, just to make fun of the stereotypes surrounding the 'common white girl'

Let's start!

7. How many tweets do you have?
About 128 tweets

8. Instagram, Twitter or Tumblr?
Instagram is good for selfies, Twitter is good for celeb stalking and Tumblr is good for fangirling... I CHOOSE TUMBLR

How To | Deep Clean Your Makeup Brushes

Hey all! Yesterday I decided to deep clean my makeup brushes for the week ahead when I thought I might make a blog post/ tutorial on how I complete this sometimes excruciating process haha

Here we go!

Step 1. Lay all your dirty brushes out on whatever bench or table you're working on

Step 2. Decide what you're going to wash them with! I use Herbal Essences Drama Clean shampoo because it really scrubs them clean and also smells heavenly. You could use any brush cleanser, mild shampoo or baby shampoo, whatever works for you!

Step 3. Take your brush and wet it under the tap. Make sure to never hold it upright or water will seep into the glue holding the handle and break the brush

Step 4. Once the brush is wet, put a small amount of cleanser, detergent or shampoo onto the back of your hand or a paper towel. I use the back of my hand but it can get quite painful if you are cleaning alot of brushes. Swirl the brush around in small circles until all the built up product is gone

Step 5. Once it is clean set it on a paper towel or flannel and wait until dry. I like to leave mine overnight but they can be dry a few minutes, depending on the type of the brush (*TIP: Check on them every once in awhile and reshape them, especially if you are not using BrushGuards, as powder and blending brushes tend to misshapen easily)

Step 6. Make sure they are completely dry and viola! Enjoy your clean, good-as-new brushes! (In case you're wondering, you can get this brush holder here)

Hope you enjoyed and this helped you a little, talk to you guys soon :)

Top 3 Favourite Drugstore Products | Mascara

I don't know why, but I always seem to love products in threes. I think it's because three is my lucky number (because it's magic of course, and who doesn't love magic) So, over the next few weeks I will be doing a mini-series 'Top 3 Favourite Drugstore Products' as I do love alot of drugstore products. First up, Mascara!

Maybelline the Colossal Volum' Express in Waterproof Glam Black
This was actually my very first mascara and I still love it to this day. It's very volumizing and VERY waterproof. I mean it, once you put it on, you're not getting it off! RRP $17.74 AUD

Maybelline Mega Plush Volum' Express in Brownish Black
This mascara has only recently been released in Australia and I'm definitely glad it finally was. It's beautiful if you just want natural but still defined lashes. I wear this on a daily basis (you can see it featured in my daily makeup routine here) RRP $19.00 AUD

Covergirl Clump Crusher in Very Black
I bought this on my trip to New Zealand a few months back and still use it to death. Again it is not very volumizing but lengthen my lashes like no other (even better than LashBlast Length I swear) and honestly nver clumps. My lashes have an annoying habit of clumping and this mascara  has never once clumped them. XD RRP $17.95 AUD

So, that was the first in a mini-series I have planned. I hope you enjoyed and I will talk to you soon <3

What is your favourite mascara and why? :)

Review | Dimeycakes Hair Bows

Haii everyone! Today I'm going to be doing a review on the online store Dimeycakes (check it out here.

Dimeycakes is, as I mentioned, an online phone case, hair accessories and apparel store. Dimeycakes was created by Diamond Huynh and continues to grow in popularity. Diamond also has a Youtube channel with DIY's and detailed information about products.

I recently bought some hair bows from Dimeycakes and am incredibly happy with the quality of the product. Everything is handmade and to the highest standard, the fabric is great and the actual clip is a strong and reliable one, as opposed to those cheap flimsy clips that break and snap easily.

The bows I bought are One Direction themed, though there are SO many different designs from Harry Potter to Galaxy, it's incredible. I bought these half British, half Irish flag bows for my friend's birthday, as we are going to a One Direction concert in exactly two weeks (there will be a blog post on that XD)

I bought them around 14th August and they have just arrived today, so it took about four weeks to ship, which is not bad shipping from Oklahoma, USA.

Bows vary from $8.50 to $12.00 AUD (the ones I bought were $12.00)
Tops vary from $22.00 to $25.00 AUD
Phone cases vary from $15.00 to $95.00 AUD

I very much love these bows and this website, I cannot wait to buy more from this store!

I hope you enjoyed this post and I will speak to you soon

Reaction to A Reveal: Pretty Little Liars Re-cap

*WARNING: Spoilers!*

I don't watch very much TV, with the exception of my daily Neighbours fix, My Dance Moms marathons and those Criminal Minds reruns that get better every time. But one show I have watched for years is Pretty Little Liars, which recently revealed the biggest plot point of the entire series... WHO IS A.

I must let you know, someone had told me before watching who A was, so I was not surprised  but I did find it an interesting way to go with the series. Spencer, Emily, Hanna, Aria, Toby and Caleb are getting closer and closer to the truth, but with this plot twist of Alison being alive, things seem to be heating up.

I must admit I did lose interest for a while, but I am once again hooked, mostly just so I can finally finish this show haha.

I can't wait for tomorrow's episode, I really don't know where they are going to to go with it and I'm so excited! :)

My Everyday Makeup

I thought I'd show you some of the products I use everyday. I try to keep makeup to a minimum as I'm at school but sometimes I do not want to look terribly bad haha. This is currently the makeup I use on a daily basis, and I will probably do this routine until I get bored. For some people this is WAY too much for everyday and for others it's not enough. A Few Favourite Books of 2013

I absolutely love to read, and although I've read some pretty amazing books this year, I wanted to show you some novels (in no particular order) that really stood out to me

The Statistical Probability Of Love At First Sight by Jennifer E. Smith
This novel is definitely for the romantics in the world. The love story between Hadley and Oliver is just a little cliche but always touching, and It makes the book even better for it. Have a look at it here.

The Other Boleyn Girl by Philippa Gregory
As a total history dweeb, I adored this book. It is quite thick and can be quite, let's just say 'un-entertaining' in parts if you are not into this time period, but otherwise fantastic historical fiction novel with a great plot. Have a look at it here.

Looking For Alaska by John Green
If you have not read at least one John Green book and LOVED it, there is something wrong with you. All his stories have the ability to make you relate to and feel for the characters, and this book is no different. I did read it again and find some characters a little annoying and pretentious, but not to the extent where it's a problem in the plot. Fantastic book! :) Look at it here.

Even more
Slaughterhouse Five by Kurt Vonnegut
The Sky Is Everywhere by Jandy Nelson
Tommy Sullivan is a Freak by Meg Cabot
Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte
The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom
Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli

So there you go, some of my favourite novels of 2013 so far, what are yours? :)

Peace out girl scouts
